The Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) has granted the company CAMPOS MONTAVERNER, S.L. a subsidy of €33,451.98, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) at a rate of 60% through the ERDF Operational Programme 2021–2027 of the Valencian Community, for the project titled “DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SUSTAINABLE R-PET FABRICS WITH CIRCULAR KNITTING TECHNOLOGY AND HIGH PERFORMANCE FOR UPHOLSTERY, AS WELL AS TREATMENT WITH SUSTAINABLE FUNCTIONAL FINISHES”, with file number IMIDTA/2023/71, submitted to the PIDI-CV programme.

The main objective of the project by Campos Montaverner, S.L. is to develop a new line of sustainable textiles using circular weft knitting technology with high-performance features for the upholstery market. The development of these new fabrics will use recycled r-PET (recycled polyester) yarns, through the research of new textile structures and specific weaves, as well as treatments with special sustainable aqueous finishes. These will allow the final application of the fabrics to the upholstery market, adapting to end-user needs and market trends.

One of the specific goals within the project’s general objective is to develop a fabric that, thanks to its structure and elasticity, can adapt to the contours of upholstered furniture, thereby minimizing production waste. At the same time, its volume will give the fabric a padded property, which will save materials, time, and energy in the foaming process, as this will no longer be necessary.
